Fox has done some shake-ups with their schedule, and the new X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix, was moved to a June 07, 2019 release date. It’s original opening date of February 14th went to Alita: Battle Angel. Also, Empire has released a new image from the film featuring our mutant heroes ready for action.

DEADLINE – Also, the next X-Men Dark Phoenix won’t open on Feb. 14 anymore, rather next summer in the June 7 slot. The trailer launched this week earning close to 8M YouTube views on Fox’s channel. Summer is not only a better date, but again, it gives the film a better shot to have a bigger opening in China. Why? The trailer clocked 44 million views in first 24 hrs of release online this week out of China.   Also, premium screens previously reserved for Gambit will be in play and provide an even bigger upside for the film. Dark Phoenix will be up against Illumination/Uni’s The Secret Life of Pets 2 and Lionsgate’s comedy Flarsky on that date.

The official trailer of the new X-Men film, Dark Phoenix, has arrived! Check it our below, and trailer screencaps and an official image in our gallery. The film is out in theaters on February 14, 2019, save the date!

In DARK PHOENIX, the X-MEN face their most formidable and powerful foe: one of their own, Jean Grey. During a rescue mission in space, Jean is nearly killed when she is hit by a mysterious cosmic force. Once she returns home, this force not only makes her infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable. Wrestling with this entity inside her, Jean unleashes her powers in ways she can neither comprehend nor contain. With Jean spiraling out of control, and hurting the ones she loves most, she begins to unravel the very fabric that holds the X-Men together. Now, with this family falling apart, they must find a way to unite — not only to save Jean’s soul, but to save our very planet from aliens who wish to weaponize this force and rule the galaxy.

First look photos have been released for Sand Castle, which is set to be released sometime this year on Netflix. Check them out in full HQ our gallery.

Set in Iraq in 2003, the film follows a group of American soldiers in the early days of the Iraq war as they’re sent to the outskirts of Baqubah to repair a water pumping station damaged by U.S. bombs. Soon, the situation becomes a powder keg as some villagers welcome the effort while others are suspicious, forcing the soldiers to attempt to keep the tensions from escalating into full-scale combat. The film stars Nicholas Hoult (“Mad Max: Fury Road”), Henry Cavill (“The Man from U.N.C.L.E.”), Glen Powell (“Everybody Wants Some!!”), Logan Marshall-Green (“Prometheus”), Neil Brown Jr. (“Straight Outta Compton”), and Beau Knapp (“The Nice Guys”).
